Love on a Florida Family Farm

It makes me so happy to have such a long history with my husband Beef Cake. We grew up together, went to high school together and hung out in the same circle of friends after college, although we didn't start dating and eventually marry until several years later. Nevertheless I believe having this kind of past with your partner brings a kind of specialness, a familial bond so to speak, that really adds a strength to the relationship that is incomparable.
So I was thrilled to discover that today's engagement couple have a long history as well. Evan and Brian grew up next door to each other in Thomasville, Georgia. But with an age difference of five years between them, back then they didn't really do much more than pester each other. And even though Evan's family moved into a new house when she was in middle school, their families still kept in touch and remained friends. But as Evan and Brian got older, life took them on separate journeys.
Then about three years ago Even and Brian reconnected at a beach party for a mutual friend getting married and shazam...they hit if off. Brian eventually proposed to Evan while they were playing with their dogs Izzie and Chloe, (shown below), on Evan's family farm. Awe...and aren't they just the cutest couple? And I'm lovin' the gorgeous 'golden hour' images. There are so many good ones but my favorite is the one with their backs to the camera sitting on the dock with one of their dogs....LOVVVVEEEE, so adorable!
Evan and Brian will be married this coming weekend, Saturday May 28, 2011 on a plantation in Thomasville Georgia and I personally cannot wait to see the images!
Congratulations you two!
